About Dr. Arielle Shugoll
Do you find yourself feeling stuck in unhealthy patterns? Do you want to explore yourself in a deeper way? Through therapy, I will help you identify patterns in your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and work with you towards making meaningful changes. By learning to respond to your thoughts and feelings in a new way, you will experience less suffering. We will also focus on how your emotions are experienced within the body, as these felt sensations are often overlooked sources of useful information.
We will work together as co-explorers of your mental landscape, not only to reduce your current suffering, but also to better understand how these difficulties developed and what factors continue to influence them. By exploring the roots of your challenging thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, we will work to lessen shame and build self-compassion.
You are the expert on your own life, and with my psychological expertise, together we can help you experience life differently. My conversational style creates a non-judgmental space where you can be authentic and explore your distressing thoughts. I use humor in my work to illustrate points and help you relax into the process. My intent is to maintain a positive and safe atmosphere for clients regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation or preferences, racial and/or cultural background. I am excited to take this journey with you.
I am primarily an in-person provider, but telehealth appointments can be available as needed.
