Education & Experience
I studied at John F. Kennedy University in Pleasant Hill, CA for my doctorate in Psychology with an emphasis on multicultural awareness, and have been licensed and working in the state of Maryland since 2015. My experience includes working with teenagers through the elderly, and with a variety of presenting issues including anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, substance abuse/addiction, relationship problems, and difficulties with transitions. I have worked in residential settings, community mental health agencies, schools, and in private practice.
My theoretical orientation combines Attachment theory and Internal Family Systems as a way to understand people’s characteristic patterns of behaving and relating, and how these patterns influence the presenting concerns of clients. I primarily utilize the Internal Family Systems model for deep insight-oriented work that is trauma-informed.
